1 fluid oz/30 mlObagi-C Rx C-Clarifying Serum is the first and only prescription strength 4% Hydroquinone and Vitamin C Serum (10% L-Ascorbic Acid). This serum penetrates deep into the skin's dermal layers where it enhances collagen production thereby reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hydroquinone decreases the formation of melanin in the skin. Melanin is the pigment in the skin that gives it a brown color. Therefore, hydroquinone applied topically is used to gradually lighten areas of darkened skin such as freckles, age spots, chloasma, and melasma. This results in more radiant, luminescent skin.
Directions: Apply in the morning after Obagi-C Rx C-Cleansing Gel. Squeeze dropper into palm of your hand. Apply Obagi-C Rx C-Clarifying Serum evenly to your face and massage gently into skin taking care to avoid eyes A slight tingling sensation may be felt initially as the Vitamin C is absorbed into the skin. Follow with Obagi-C Rx C-Exfoliating Day Lotion.

Each gram of Obagi-C Rx Clarifying Serum contains Hydroquinone 4% USP mg/gm in a base of Propylene Glycol, Propylene Carbonate, L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Purified Water and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.
Pregnancy and Nursing Advisory
In an effort to avoid injury to the developing baby, most skin care topicals have not been clinically tested on pregnant or nursing women; therefore, we advise that they not be used. Products containing benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid,hydroquinoine and tretinoin or similar topicals such as products containing retinol should NOT be used when pregnant or nursing. You should also discontinue the use of skin care products containing these ingredients for at least one month before contemplating pregnancy. If in doubt, please refer to the product insert for further information and consult with your physician.
